During production at our factory in Iserlohn, the strip material is twisted to create the characteristic appearance of a curb chain, reminiscent of a tightly woven stitch. Curb chains are among the strongest types of chain, and their closely interlocking links make this type of collar particularly suitable for short-coated dog breeds.

We produce curb chains in different materials, wire thicknesses and designs (classic curb chains with round links or links ground flat for extra shine), as well as in a variety of styles (martingale collars or choke collars).

Like our stainless steel collars, CUROGAN chains are also more durable thanks to their solid, rust-resistant material – making them more sustainable, safer thanks to their high breaking strength, and significantly easier to maintain than conventional nylon or leather collars.

Made from 4,0 mm thick CUROGAN, the chain with article number 51382-67 withstands wind and weather even on long walks and is ideal for dogs who love water.
Like the assembly chain, the collar has round links and features a sturdy ring (also made from CUROGAN) for attaching the leash. The integrated assembly chain makes the collar easy to put on and provides a limited-pull function, meaning it meets all requirements for dog equipment that complies with animal welfare standards and offers extra security for dogs that try to slip out of their collar in extreme situations.

Not sure which wire thickness is right for your four-legged companion? Round-link chains with 4 mm wire are particularly suitable for medium-sized dogs such as Australian Cattle Dogs, Beagles and Dalmatians.

Our CUROGAN chains are particularly suitable for dogs with light-coloured coats or a nickel allergy. The material darkens over time and develops an antique appearance, but causes significantly less coat discolouration than stainless steel.
